About Me
Welcome! I’m Kate - director, teaching artist, performer, and arts administrator - dedicated to helping emerging artists find their voice, their confidence, and their creative spark. I believe the classroom, rehearsal room, and stage are joyful laboratories where curiosity leads to discovery and where every student’s story matters.
My work blends compassionate training, high artistic standards, and a commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning. I’m so glad you’re here—come explore my work, my teaching, and the vibrant communities I’m lucky to help cultivate.
Director
My directing centers good stories well told: musicals that spark joy, histories that demand attention, and voices too often unheard. Grounded in sound dramaturgical process, my work empowers students to claim their place as storytellers—onstage and in their own lives.
Teaching Artist
I teach with equal parts rigor and warmth, empowering students to take creative risks, interrogate storytelling traditions, and build sustainable artistic practices. My work centers inclusive pedagogy, interdisciplinary inquiry, and the belief that every learner deserves to feel seen, supported, and is capable of excellence.
Performer
I'm tickled pink to play independent women with heart and bite. I bring charm, intelligence, and joyful storytelling to the stage.
Arts Administrator
I lead with creativity, curiosity, and a deep commitment to community. My work blends academic leadership, theatre management, marketing and design, and community engagement to support dynamic learning environments and impactful artistic projects. I’m passionate about growing programs, telling compelling stories, and building bridges between the university, the arts, and the public we serve.
